ready in 2 1/2 minutes

Waiting on photo booth photos through the years. We have so many of these shots. With the immediate satisfaction of iphone photos these days that you can so easily retake, it is so nice to take these perfectly imperfect photo booth photos. The are always so real and are one of my favorite mementos of a trip.

"Stick With Me" by Tim and Nicki Bluhm
Session recording under the bridge.

Love these lyrics - All the neighbors say we're the crazy. Drifting all the time.
Then they ask us what we're doing we say, "Living while we're alive".

this must be the place

Working together and raising a family together, Stu and I are each others constant companions, quite literally. It can be hard and it can be amazing - both equally so. We are going on 8 years of Three Potato Four - bringing this small business through many highs and lows, constantly evolving and working hard to have more opportunities and growth. Owning a small business is not for the faint of heart for sure, but it does feel good to see how we've grown this brand. It's a good place.

Sharing my favorite quote about small business... "It's like a man riding a lion. People think, 'This guy's brave.' And he's thinking, 'How the hell did I get on a lion, and how do I keep from getting eaten?" - Toby Thomas via Inc. Mag.

frozen ponds

We are in the thick of winter here in Pennsylvania. The pond we fish at, skip rocks from, and catch tadpoles from is now frozen over. On particularly frozen days, there are ice skaters and hockey games. We light nightly fires in our fireplace, not because it is cozy or romantic but out of necessity and warmth. There is sledding when we can, messy snow boots, lost gloves and wet snowy clothes near our front door and many crock pot dinners made to keep us warm. These are the things of winter we long for and then dread once when we're in it. But we'll take it and remember that going through these east coast winters make us appreciate the warm sun that always follows.
