ace_room holly_coloring holly_photoboooth ace_hotel_us lobby2 otis with two young kids and running our small business, a comfortable + full night's sleep is few and far between for us. but man, during our one night stay at the ace in nyc we all slept like babies for a full 8 hours, including our two babies. besides being really comfortable at ace - it was so nice to stay at a hotel that was so thoughtfully designed (but not overly designed). we loved the simple and beautiful type on the stationery, key cards, and signage throughout the hotel. we got to stay in a room that displayed the artwork of our friend Jim Datz -  his artwork is the city scene behind the bed. the hotel lobby is beautiful with its cozy plaid wingback chairs, glass curios and antique medicine cabinets, black and white wall of graffti tags, wooden library shelves filled with obscure hardback books, a large amazing letter-A signage and an old time b/w photobooth. after a long day in the city, holly fell alseep in the lobby sofa, while stu packed up our car to leave. we really had a lovely stay. and are now re-evaluating our own bed and wishing we were still sleeping in comfort at ace...
