Beacon and Esmond Mills Blanket - Rose/Charcoal
Vintage original 1920s-40s "camp" blanket manufactured by either the Beacon Manufacturing Company or Esmond Mills. Blanket is all-cotton, also called "wool nap" cotton as the material was felted to give it the warmth of wool to trap warm air. These blankets were an innovation in the late 19th century, their designs originally copied Navajo hand weavings. Blanket measures 66" x 64" and is in good used condition - please note blanket has small 1/2" hole and minor blemish about 1"x1" (see photos). Blanket curated by Laura Fisher of Fisher Heritage - a long-time friend and expert in the field.
