the house that manolo built

Imagine a home in the Mexico painted the perfect shade of blue surrounded by a wonderous landscape of cacti and wildlife… One of our favorite artists - Geninne Zlatkis (whose lovely nature-inspired works we proudly have in our shop) lives in this inspiring home in Mexico. And what makes this home even more extraordinary is that her husband Manolo has built it for their family. Amazing, right?!

Geninne has been a customer of ours from the start and shared with us photos of her home. We love spotting the items she has bought from Three Potato Four and the creative ways she has used them – the mexican sugar cane mold to hold her paintbrushes, the gas station number 9 sign that hangs outside her studio door and the us postal bag that she uses to carry her orders to the post.

Visit her blog to see the projects and artwork she is working on and for more amazing snapshots of the house that Manolo built.

I love Gennine’s work + have been in love with her home for awhile – I think I first saw it while messing around on Flickr. She has a clean, simple style that’s still cozy. Anyway, everyone check out her work no matter what – you will be happier for it.
