“look at that hair”

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

Good grief.
We just got through a scary few days. Our son Otis has asthma and had to be hospitalized from an attack. I am thankful that during times like this Stu and I are freely able to take the time we need for our kids. Above all this is why we started our business. Otis is better now and home with us – looking and acting his silly self. So truly amazing how strong little kids are.

seals for sale + update coming soon

Friday, September 10th, 2010

This week we had family visiting us from Japan. Holly has picked up from them a love of drinking tea. On their visit with us we happened upon a library book sale and discovered this wonderful book published in 1963 called “Seals for Sale” by Carl Memling. A story about a little boy named Herbert and his Seal Store. The illustrations by Peter Edwards are vibrant and amazing.

last day of august

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Besides the camping trip we took at the beginning of summer we didn’t take a vacation this summer so we decided to take the kids just for a day to the beach. Arcade, boardwalk fries and sandy feet, it was good.
